The tape is a formal interview with Ron Shoikhetman. He briefly talks about how they set up a memorial in Derazhnya in 1957 to remember Jewish victims of the Holocaust. He was born in 1935 in Derazhnya and moved to Luts'k in 1959. He discusses life in Derazhnya when the war broke out. There was one synagogue in a town of two thousand Jews. His father worked as a janitor. He then discusses Jewish traditional life, in particular circumcisions, in Derazhnya during the 1930s. Shoikhetman shows Yiddish literature translated into Russian.
In the second part of the tape, the team drives with Shoikhetman through Luts'k in order to get to the Jewish study hall (beis midrash). On the way, he explains Jewish buildings in Luts'k. The team then gets back into van to drive to the synagogue, while Shoikhetman explains where synagogues used to be. Then the team enters a building what used to be a synagogue and is now used as a sports hall. When they walked outside again, Shoikhetman explains the history of the buildings nearby and points to where the Jewish cemetery is located. Then the team drives to see another building that used to be a synagogue. The tape concludes with more town footage of Luts'k.
